Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday December 31, 2025 at the age of 73 years. Loved and missed by his wife of 49 years; Eleanor (nee Vale). Loving Dad of Heidi Vanderkloet (Dale), Craig (Cecelia), Lori Baptie (Scott) and Krista Kruis (Firston). Grandpa will always be loved and remembered by Leighton, Sam, Felix, Gideon, Rita, Sawyer, Eric, Charlie, Sadie, Gavin and Cedric. Also remembered by siblings, in-laws, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bill was a hard working, passionate farmer. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed travelling, was a quiet confidant and a witty prankster. Bill enjoyed playing catch and was always up for a game of cards. He loved his boat and spending time at the cottage. He was a proud member of the Sunderland Lions Club and always enjoyed socializing with his friends. Those that knew Bill will always remember that mischievous sparkle in his eye.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Sunday January 4, 2026 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM. A memorial service to honour Bill will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday January 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Reception to follow.
