It is with deep sadness that the family of William A. Ross Gammage announce his peaceful passing surrounded by his family on March 27, 2022 at the age of 85 years. Ross enjoyed his 36-year teaching career and his 30 years of retirement. He will be remembered fondly for his patience and kind, affectionate manner. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Eunice (Pitman); children Darlene (James Moritz), Susan (Dr. James Hadden), and Rob; grandchildren Kathleen, Lauren, Elliot, Jenna, Benjamin and Jocelyn; great-granddaughter Jamie; brothers Robert and Christopher (Erika), as well as numerous relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his sister Ruth and her husband Donald Caines. He will also be dearly missed by his friends at the Scugog Float Flyers model airplane club.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Box 698, Port Perry L9L 1A6 (905-985-7331). Memorial donations may be made in Ross’s name to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wang and her emergency staff at Port Perry Hospital for their kind and caring support.
