Stanley 'Stan' Wellington Feasby Obituary
Stanley Wellington Feasby (Stan) passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the age of 81.
Stan was a man of the land, a farmer through and through, who worked the soil with pride and purpose right up until his final days. After suffering a brainstem stroke 21 years ago and being told he would never eat or farm again, Stan proved everyone wrong—willing himself back to health with the same grit and determination that defined his life. His strength, resilience, and unwavering belief in hard work were an inspiration to all who knew him.
He lived by a simple but powerful truth: “Take care of the land, lend a hand when it’s needed, and the rest will grow as it’s meant to.”
Stan found great joy in the everyday moments - 10:00 a.m. coffee, Sunday meals with Kathy (Briscoe), Dave and William Colvin, lively chats with his farming friends, and the satisfaction of a good day’s work. He loved his garden, his music, and the tradition of corn roasts shared with family and friends. He took great pride in his loyal egg customers and his weekend vegetable stand, where conversations were just as important as the produce. Stan had a deep appreciation for growth in all forms and was always generous with his knowledge, offering wisdom and guidance to anyone who needed help planting, tending, or simply figuring things out. In his younger years, Stan had a passion for hockey, a love he shared with his sons throughout his life.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cheryl, and his daughter, Lisa. Sister and brother in law, Laura and Frank Hendy. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Scott (Melanie) and Mike (Crystal), and cherished by his grandchildren, Brooklynn, Kennedy, Ada, Eve, and Anna. Niece Wanda Hendy (Stan Rowe) and her son Robert. Nephew Mark and Mandy Hendy and their children Thomas (Jenna) and Rachel Carnakie (Josh).
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at a later date.
He will be deeply missed by his extended family, his many friends, and the farming community he was so proud to be a part of. For online condolences, please visit www.lowandlow.ca
