Passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Friday January 23, 2026 at the age of 65 years. Loved and missed by his wife; Cathy (nee Mugford) and by his daughter Alexandra Peel. Also remembered by his brother Kent Peel (Bi). Predeceased by his parents Walter and Anne Peel.
Scott was born and raised in Oshawa. After high school, he went to Centennial College and became a red seal electrician. Scott worked at General Motors for 34 years, and afterwards Ontario Power Generation for 10 years. Though known as a skilled electrician with a tireless work ethic, his legacy is the love and devotion he poured into his roles as a husband and father. In 2000, he married his wife Cathy. In 2001, his daughter Alexandra was born.
Scott was a Mason at the David T. Campbell Lodge in Whitby. He joined the Oshawa Shrine Club and was an active member of the Mini Car unit. Scott was a huge music lover, classic rock in particular. He loved to play his various guitars and sing. Other past hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his motorcycle and later riding his snowmobile. More recently, he loved to be outside under the warm sun with his dogs playing ball or taking them for walks.
Scott was a selfless man who would do anything to help anyone. He was the most loyal husband and father. He will be deeply missed.
