Sandra Gloria (Burtchael) Harding

With saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Sandra Gloria Harding at the age of 87, of Uxbridge, Ontario, on July 11, 2025 at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry.

Sandra attended the University of New Brunswick with her sister, Adaliene where she later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Sandra later went on to earn her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto.  She was the Head of Guidance at Bendale Secondary School.  Her career allowed her to touch the lives of many students providing wisdom and encouragement in a compassionate and impactful way. 

Sandra and her husband, Ken were married for 56 happy years.  Her life was devoted to her family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; Willema and Benjamin Burtchael and sister, Adaliene Griffith (Burtchael).

She will be greatly missed by Ken, her niece Lorie and nephew Pat Griffith, their family and all of her friends and family.

Visitation will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905-852-3073) on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 59 Toronto Street South, Uxbridge on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM.  Reception to follow.  Private family interment ceremony.
