Sadie (Sharpe) Christie

Passed away at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry on Wednesday October 8, 2025 at the age of 87 years.  Wife of the late Robert Francis Christie.  Missed by her children Mike Christie, Jennifer Christie and Andrew Christie.  Loved grandmother of Gabi and Parker, Lucy and Shelly.  Cherished sister of Evelyn and Don.

Sadie was an avid quilter who enjoyed quilt shop-hopping and exploring crafting bazaars. She was a regular Bingo player, a devoted hockey fan, and a true Newfie. She was a proud Federal Civil Servant for over 25 years.

She loved her family fiercely and was sweet, sharp, and stubborn. She lived at home with her family until her final days and enjoyed the simple things: a perfect cup of tea, a chat with a friend, and as many cookies as she could find.

A funeral service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge on Saturday October 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM.  Visitation one hour prior.  Reception to follow.  Interment Park Lawn Cemetery, Etobicoke. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Community Care - Durham (Day Program) would be appreciated by the family.
