S. Marie "Ree" (Heinbecker) Grant

Ree passed away peacefully at the age of 98 at Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry, Ontario on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.  

She was the beloved wife of the late Douglas John Grant (1996).  She will be forever missed by her daughters, Kelly, and Sheila Hale (Roger Allinson).  She was loved by her three granddaughters: Eve Whittaker (Brock), Jordan Hale (Dustin McMurphy) and Austin Hale.  Ree was predeceased by her sister Jean Beverly (2022) (the late Norm, 2000) and her son-in-law Gordon Hale (2001).  

According to Ree’s wishes, there will be no service.  Donations in memory of Ree may be made to Covenant House  or Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry . Cremation has taken place.  Spring interment will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, Mississauga.
