Ruth Violet Popowich

January 23, 1934 - June 8, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Port Perry Place, Nursing Home on Saturday June 8, 2024 at the age of 90 years.  Wife of the late William “Bill” Popowich (February 11, 2020).  Lovingly remembered by her daughters Louanne Brown (Robert), Maryanne Wakeford (Allan) and Susan Kerry (Grant). Loving Nana of  Robert (Maureen), Lea-Anne (David), Amanda, Richard (Carly), Kevin (Michelle) and the late Christine and  great Nana of Saxon, Nolan, Avery, Erica, Etta, Jackson, Megan, Elliott, Hannah and Connor. Beloved sister of the late Fred (Mildred) Starr, Walter (Muriel) Starr, Roy (Eileen) Starr, and Carl (Rita) Starr.

Extended family and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Monday June 17, 2024 for visitation at 11:00 AM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM.  Ruth will be laid to rest at Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery.  Reception to follow in the lounge of the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Port Perry Hospital foundation would be appreciated by the family.
