The family of Robert John Tytler is saddened to announce his passing on February 3, 2021 at the age of 77. Robert, “Bob” will be dearly missed by his wife Nancy (nee Banks) of 56 years, and children Michele Anderson (Ed), Buck Tytler (Bonnie) and Sherry Nottingham (John). Bob will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Kailly, Jenna, John and Sierra; also, by his great grandson Landyn.
Bob’s family would like to offer their sincere thanks and gratitude to the caring staff at Lakeridge Health Whitby Long Term Care Unit. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Bob knew he was a great storyteller and always made you feel welcome in their home. He was the man that literally would give you the shoes off his feet if he thought you needed them. Bob will be remembered for his years working as a land agent for the pipeline with his innate ability to speak to and build relationships with the farmers and other landowners. Bob was also well known as the man to fix any carburetor, stemming from his younger years as a licensed mechanic. And others will remember him driving a Freightliner across the country. Bob enjoyed fishing, hot rods, and spending his retirement winters with Nancy in Daytona Beach and will be greatly missed by their friends at The Ocean Court.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service was held with arrangements entrusted to the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, P.O. Box 698, Port Perry, Ontario L9L 1A6 (905-985-7331). A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date for family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides in Bob’s memory.
