Robert "Bob" Ruffo

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on September 17th, 2024 at the age of 84. Loved and missed by his wife of 64 years; Ann (Ruck). Cherished father of Paul (Paula) and Christina Roesch (Mark).  Grandpa will always be remembered by Brendan and Matthew Roesch and Cassandra Ruffo, step grandchildren Thomas, Steven and families. Fondly remembered by the Ruck family. Survived by his sisters-in-law Milda and Margaret. Predeceased by his brothers Angelo and John.

Robert (Bob) will be remembered as a businessman that founded a successful company called Polar Chemicals with his partner. His real passion in life was working out, he loved the gym community. He enjoyed mentoring others on how to train and achieve a healthy lifestyle. He liked playing many different types of sports, Hockey, Football, Baseball and Golf. He also liked to challenge himself to exceed at goals like when he completed 26,166 reps of crossover flys in 8.5 hours. In his younger years he would challenge all the kids on the street to ride their bicycles with him around the street 100 times to see if they could do 5 miles. Robert had a real soft spot for pets, he was known for bringing home stay dogs and the occasional kitten in his jacket pocket. He always did it his way.

Cremation has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society of Durham Region. Friends may send condolences or make donations at www.lowandlow.ca
