Robert James Rose

Peacefully at home in Lagoon City on October 18, 2025 at the age of 79 years. Much beloved husband for 34 years of Lynne (nee Foster).  Proud and devoted step-father to Chris Kubbinga (Carolyn) and Justin Kubbinga (Machiko).  Doting grandfather to Camden, Cole, and Chloe. Adored younger brother of Elaine Elliott (Chuck) from Arizona and Charlie Rose from Michigan.  He will be fondly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Belle River, Ontario, Bob’s “gift of the gab” and close attention to his wardrobe (some called him Dapper Bob!) led him comfortably into a career in sales.  He worked at Jones Packaging Inc. in London, Ontario for 40 years, holding several sales positions before retiring in 2009 as Vice-President, Pharmacy Initiatives.

Bob was an extrovert who loved people, forging lifelong friends along the way.  He was confident, forthright and gregarious, never doing anything halfway.  If he was interested, he gave it his all.  He loved his family immensely; was a huge baseball fan; an avid Georgian Bay boater; and he spent many leisure hours playing golf, pool, darts and bowling.  He loved his life and lived it to the fullest.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 1p.m. to 4p.m. at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905-985-7331).  Speeches will begin at 2p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Bob's memory to Parkinson Canada or Canadian Lung Association.
