Petronella (Gubbels) Van den Hoogen

Nellie passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on June 4th, 2022, at the age of 80.  Devoted and loving wife for 60 beautiful years to Bill Van den Hoogen.  Incredible mother to Hurb (Lee), Dena (Larry), Bill (Rhonda), Trish (Pete).  Loving “Oma” to Frank (Melissa), Scott, Billy (Nicole), Shane (Tori), Tamara (Huey), Kyle, Natasha (Zack); and proud “Great Oma” to Tylan, Lillie, Tucker.  Cherished sister to Peter (Isabelle), Leo (Ann), John (predeceased) (Ida), Frank (Lisette), Betty (Don), Hurb (Bonnie), Joe, Louise (predeceased) (Roger).  Beautiful daughter of the late John and Theodora Gubbels.  Loved and remembered by all the Van den Hoogen families, many nieces and nephews, extended family, good friends and wonderful neighbours. 

Many thanks to Dr. Chau, Dr. Jayakar, Patricia and all of the Paramed Nurses for their help as they cared for her with such love and compassion. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 70 Toronto Street North, Uxbridge at 2:00 p.m.  A Reception will follow at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Box 388, Uxbridge L9P 1M8 (905-852-3073).
