Paul Whyte Obituary

Paul Whyte, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous journey with metastatic prostate cancer.

Born in Rexton, New Brunswick, Paul moved with his family to West Hill, Ontario, in 1967. He was a devoted member of Melville Presbyterian Church and later Burns Presbyterian Church in Ashburn, where his faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.

Paul dedicated 45 years of his career to the Royal Bank of Canada, serving in various positions throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Through his work, he built lasting friendships with colleagues and clients alike, earning the respect and affection of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For 48 years, Paul made his home in Claremont, Ontario, where he built lifelong friendships with neighbours and became a cherished member of the community. He was an avid reader, a car enthusiast, and took great pride in tending the beautiful property he shared with his beloved wife, Karen.

Paul will be remembered for his sharp sense of humour, unwavering Christian values, and the kindness and generosity he extended to family, friends, neighbours, coworkers, and clients. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who treasured time spent with those he loved.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his daughters, Emily Whyte (Tim Wilson) and Laura Beckett (Aaron Beckett); his brothers Mark (Susan) and David, nieces and nephews and his cherished grandson, Sam Beckett.

A Memorial Service will be held at Burns Presbyterian Church, 765 Myrtle Road West, Ashburn, Ontario on Saturday September 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM with luncheon to follow.  If you are able to join with us, please advise by August 28 to paulwhytememories@gmail.com.
