Patricia Jane Williams (Fair) believed in Michael Connelly’s single bullet of love theory and was married to her loving husband Harvey Williams for 51 years. Patricia was born and raised in Bowmanville and was a long-time resident of Seagrave and Port Perry.
Loving and faithful mother to Michael (Robyn), Ryan (Renai) and Sean (Kasey). A fantastic cheerleading matriarch grandmother to Paige, Brooklyn, Madelyn, Zack, Emma, Abigail, Clarke and Alice. Dear sister of Lyn Branigan (Larry) and late brother Bill Fair. Daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Barton) Fair. Daughter in law of the late Llewellyn and Mary (Hellyer) Williams. Sister in law to Ruth Williams and Barbara Zita (Williams). She will be missed by nieces, nephews and extended family.
Patricia taught many grades for over 40 years with the PVNCCDSB in Bowmanville and Lindsay. Patricia’s favourite grade was Kindergarten/Grade 1. Every student left her class knowing how to read, share and be nice. There are several generations of former students who will be telling their children “that won’t be happening”. She developed many lifelong and very close teacher friendships. Patricia made sure she taught all her grandchildren to read, play games and cards.
Patricia and her FIT group were Seagrave neighbours who formed a lifelong bond. Patricia had many great friends mainly because she was such a good friend to have, being fiercely loyal and always supportive.
Patricia really enjoyed the cottage on Shadow Lake. The highlight of every year was Canada Day, the Unbirthday and boat trips to Treasure Island. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading, decorating and anything that involved grandchildren.
Patricia had many challenges over the past 6 years, facing them head on with sheer willpower. She was “One tough Cookie”.
Patricia was opened minded, fair, objective and opinionated. The family motto for Grandma: “I’m not bossy, I just have better ideas”. She touched so many lives and left them all the better for meeting and knowing Patricia.
