Norma Evelyn (Knope) Myers

Passed away peacefully at Oak Valley Health, Uxbridge on Thursday June 13, 2024 at the age of 97 years surrounded by her family and is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Loving wife of the late Peter Joseph Myers (d. 2015).  Cherished Mother of Paul (Lucy), Bonnie Hendrickson (John), Peter (Lori), James and Kathleen Martino (Frank). Predeceased by her son Patrick, sister Lorraine Mann and brother Joseph Knope.

Proud Grandma to: Jennifer (Macario), Jeffrey (Kayleen), Teresa, Allison (Bader), Jessica (Oliver), Joseph, Janna (Kurtis), Jennie, Emma (Jon), Jonathan (Laura), Michael (Joel), Jodi (Dan), Clifford, Kaitlyn (Grant) Natalie and significant others.  Proud Great Grandma to Carissa, Sofia, Jaxon, Henry, Grace, Evelyn, Mackenzie.  Wonderful Aunt to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Norma lived a long and full life with her family and friends.  Her greatest joy was raising her six children alongside her devoted and beloved husband Peter. Her strong faith was a great example to her children and their children. She was affectionately known by Normie blue eyes.  She had a passion for golfing, knitting, reading and playing bridge.  Norma had a small successful furniture refinishing business in which she took much pride.  Norma lived in her family home with the care and assistance from her special nurses, many PSWs and her son James, until the beginning of 2024.  She then moved into Butternut Manor where she made many new friends and it became her new home.

Norma was a strong, independent, determined woman who always did it her way. Norma is now dancing in Heaven with her loving husband known as St. Peter of Uxbridge.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the excellent Doctors and Nurses who took wonderful care of her over the many years.

Norma, Mom, we will love and miss you always.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street St, South, Uxbridge on Friday June 21, 2024 from 10:00AM - 12:00 PM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12:30 PM at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 70 Toronto Street N. Uxbridge   A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow in the Parish Hall.  Private burial of urn will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Uxbridge Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Norma’s family.  Friends may send condolences or make donations through www.lowandlow.ca
