Born on May 26, 1952 in Stouffville, ON, Neil passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Predeceased by parents James and Francis Gibson, Neil will be deeply missed by his sister and brother-in-law Marie (nee Gibson) and Joe Zaal. He was a cherished Uncle to Justin and Tracy Durham, Richard and Crystal Zaal and JoAnn Zaal. Much loved Great Uncle of Wesley Zealand, Cameron Durham, Kaleb Evanoff, Jade Evanoff, Ruby Zaal, Ryker Zaal and predeceased by Wilson Zealand.
Neil worked for the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for 30 plus years and was a member of the Uxbridge Legion for 40 years. He was a lovable man who had a big heart and kind words for anyone he came across. He had a great love for fishing and could be found riding his three-wheeled bike regularly through town. Neil also enjoyed travelling, making many trips to Alberta, British Columbia, Eastern Canada, as well as Florida and Texas.
Visitation will be held at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073) on Saturday, April 5, from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Sunday, April 6, at 2 p.m. with a get together to follow from 3p.m. to 6p.m. at the Uxbridge Legion.
