It is with immeasurable grief that we share the news of Mitch’s passing on March 21, 2023 from a workplace accident. Mitch was born and raised in Uxbridge Ontario and loved his hometown. He was happiest being outdoors enjoying winters on his snowmobile and summers at the cottage and on the water boating and jet skiing. He lived life to the fullest, seizing any opportunity that came his way with infectious enthusiasm. Within minutes of walking into a room he knew everyone and had them laughing. He could sit and have a conversation with anyone regardless of age, interests or background. He always announced his arrival anywhere he went loudly and with a funny one liner. His smile and laugh were contagious. So many people have said to us that he was the most straight up, hardworking good guy that they knew. With Mitch you always knew what he was thinking because he told you without hesitation and often unsolicited.
Mitch loved anything with an engine and had an innate ability to know how to fix them. He was a proud truck guy and spent hours planning and envisioning building his dream truck. One of his favourite things to do was enjoying a bonfire with his buddies and working on their trucks while listening to their music. Mitch loved fiercely and loyally and if you were fortunate enough to be in Mitch’s life you knew what it felt like to be loved unconditionally and protected beyond measure. In the short time that he was with us he impacted so many and left a large boot print on our world. He was kind, he was smart, he was funny. He was simply the best of us.
Mitch is survived by his parents Mike and Deanna Watson, big sister Brooke Watson, girlfriend Lauren Adamson, Grandparents Harry (age 94) and Betty (the late) Watson, and Grandparents Diane and Kevin (the late) Duffy, Uncles, Aunts, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will take place at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Box 388, Uxbridge L9P 1M8 (905-852-3073) on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.
