Miles Trodd

Passed away with his family by his side on Saturday April 26 2025 surrounded by family at the age of 72. Miles leaves behind his wife Patti of 25 years. As well as his children Quinton (Emma), Quade (Mel), Kendra (Chris), Joe (Mar), Cat(Karl) and Mandy (Jason), his grandchildren; Ryker, Cash, Ellie, Olivia, Jaclyn, Anthony, Portia, Cruz, Mercedes, Jurnee and Gage. Miles is survived by his brothers; Stan, Reg (Joanne) and brother-in-law Harold. He will be so missed by his fur babies Skye and River. Miles is predeceased by his parents Urena and Leonard and his sister Gwen.

This year LS&M welding celebrated 50 years in business. A business started by his father, his brother and himself. Although his retirement was very short he found his passion which was target shooting. He enjoyed shooting with his brother Reg, his son Quinton and his daughter Kendra. He was a member of the Cannington Gun Club and the Haliburton Gun Club. He found his love for shooting late in life and enjoyed every second of it! He competed in competitions and always pushed himself to do better, always wanting to hit that bullseye which he made happen almost all the time.

His family meant everything to him. You could find Miles watching his grandchildren playing hockey or soccer, doing gymnastics, or performing in dance recitals. Miles was always beside you, helping you no matter what it was. Miles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a great friend to many. He will be sorely missed by all.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Miles’ life will be held at the Sunderland Arena Auditorium, 20 Park St.,Sunderland on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
