November 14, 1963 – September 20, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael George Cassidy, who left us peacefully on September 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Mike was the cherished son of George Cassidy (deceased) and Irene Spittachine. He was known for his tireless dedication to his family, providing for them and always encouraging them to reach higher. He never missed a chance to express his love and support, even in his final moments.

Mike's resilience was truly inspiring. Throughout his life, and especially during his recent battle with cancer, he held a firm belief that no matter the challenges he faced, everything would work out in the end and be okay. His unwavering optimism and faith is a testament to his strength and fighting spirit.

He leaves behind his wife, Sandra, and their four children, Mitchell, Sarah, Andrew, and Carlee, as well as two adored grandchildren, Jaxson and Calum. His love and strength will forever inspire them and all who knew him.

The Cassidy family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Health Port Perry for their compassionate care and support, ensuring Mike's final days were as comfortable as possible.

Mike will be deeply missed as a Father, Grandfather and Friend, but his legacy of love, strength, and perseverance will live on.
