Maurice passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at the Uxbridge Hospital on Friday June 20, 2025 at the age of 81 years. Cherished husband to Elaine (Wiltshire). Loving Dad to Carl and Gregory DeBarros and grandfather to Hayden and Jade. Also remembered by his former daughter-in-law Cheryl Wills, sister Eunice Simone (late Riccardo) and sister-in-law Margaret De Barros. Predeceased by his brother Eddie and sister Marie Faria (Urban). He is also well loved by his many many nieces and nephews who he always showed how much fun life can be. His in-laws are too many to name but all know the kind of man he was and the great example he set for all of us.
In his youth and adult life he was proficient at scuba diving and archery. He loved to be by the water and it was no secret the Carribean had a very special place in his heart.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 70 Toronto Street North, Uxbridge on Saturday June 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM with reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
As expressions of sympathy and please NO flowers, memorial donations to the Uxbridge Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by Maurice’s family. Friends may send condolences or make donations at www.lowandlow.ca
