Mary Barbara (nee Moran) Gavin

It is with great sadness that the family advises of the sudden, but peaceful passing of Barbara, who was called home to be with our Lord on April 17th, 2022 at the age of 79. Loving wife to Paul for 55 years. Caring mother of Christopher (Alison). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Ceilidh and Fiona. Predeceased by her parents Austin and Catherine Moran (Ballard). Beloved sister to Peter, Sandra, Martha, Paula, Elizabeth, D'Arcy and Michael. 

Throughout her life, Barbara continually assisted others in need. She worked as assistant to the director at the Crippled Children's Centre in Toronto, volunteered with various church groups, canvassed with the Canadian Cancer Society and assisted with in-home visits for the elderly. She enjoyed travelling, gardening, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge.  A Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 70 Toronto Street North, Uxbridge will be held at 2:00 p.m.  

Burial to take place at a later date.
