Marilyn Frances (Burch) Rushton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Marilyn Rushton (nee Burch), on Tuesday July 18th 2023, in Uxbridge Ontario at age 90. Marilyn was a loving mother to Jane Sleep, Sue Rushton-Williams (Scott) and Mary Clements (Daniel).

She was affectionately known as Nanny to her five grandchildren Caitlin Housser (Joe), Ryan Clements (Charis), Michael, Matthew and Emily Williams, as well as “GG” to her four great grandchildren Cooper and Abby Housser and Charlotte and Daniel Clements. She was also loving Aunt to Scott Burch and Martha Chisholme (Grant). Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Rushton, brother Donald Burch and two granddaughters Jennifer Ashleigh and Danica Clements.

As a lifelong educator Marilyn is fondly remembered as a kind and caring kindergarten teacher at Pineway Public school among others. Marilyn was a history buff who also loved travelling, reading and above all else spending time with her family and dear friends Jane Southgate and Marlene Trantor.

Our sincere thanks to all who provided exceptional care to our mother at Butternut Manor and Uxbridge Hospital these past few months.
