Marilyn Ann (Hunter) Kronstein

Marilyn Ann Kronstein (nee Hunter) succumbed to the last stages of dementia on May 8th, 2023. She was 85 years old.

Marilyn grew up in Collingwood, ON.  She became a single Mother of 3 and moved to Toronto to pursue a career and create a better life for her family. Not too long after, she met Frank Kronstein (pre-deceased 2012), her husband of 40+ years. Marilyn had a long career at a well-known publishing company in Scarborough, ON before retiring and moving to Prince Edward County, where she & Frank built a cottage many years prior. She was determined to provide a loving & stable home. Her tenacity, strength, kindness, and love for her family were indeed admirable and something that is ingrained in her youngest daughter and her own family.   

While Marilyn enjoyed her retirement in Prince Edward County, the loss of her husband prompted a move allowing her to be closer to other family members. Her family grieves her loss but takes comfort in knowing that their Mom & Dad (Grandma & Grandpa) are together again. Admired Mother of Lisa (Brad) Thompson, sweetest Grandma of Cassandra Thompson, and Courtney (Shea) Comer and Great Grandma of Blakely & Easton Comer.  

A service will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street (905-985-7331) on Wednesday May 24th, 2023, at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.
