Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Caressant Care, Lindsay on Saturday July 5, 2025 at the age of 99 years. Wife of the late Clement Sochasky. Loving Mom of Freda “Fred” Derry (Kim), Robert “Bob” Sochasky (Brenda) and Jeffrey Sochasky (deceased) (Lee). Peggy was a proud Nana/Grandmother to James, Anne, Chris, Jaime, Neil and Alison. She was GG/Great Grandmother to Hailey, Lorelei, Gabriel, Gretchen, Oliver, Scotlynne, Bryar, Evy and Gideon. She was also a sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and great aunt to her many relatives and friends.
Peggy loved to do many things. She was a volunteer, dart champion, bowler, skier, knitter, artist. Clem and she loved to dance and embraced travelling in later years.
A memorial service to honour Peggy’s life will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM (visitation one-hour prior). Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Friends of Algonquin Park or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Friends may send condolences or make donations at www.lowandlow.ca. Interment will be held August 15, 2025, in Kearney, Ontario at 1:00 pm (Kearney Cemetery).
