May 22, 1948-November 13, 2024
Lynda passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024 at Oak Ridges Hospice surrounded by her family.
Daughter of Norma and Harry Geer. Beloved wife of the late Bill. Loving mother of the late Patti Kendry-Diotte (the late Roger). Dear sister of Gord (Chris) and the late Karen and Ken. She is survived by her sister-in-law Melissa, brothers-in-law Mel and George (Bill). Dear niece of Audrey Geer and the late Earl.
Loving Auntie to Terri (Ian), Chris (the late Dee), Brook (Kris), Philip (Hayley), Ryan (Karyn), Lisa, Kyle, Josh and the late Shannon (survived by Yvonne) and the late Logan. Great Auntie to many nieces and nephews.
Cousins made the best friends, and a bit of childhood that was never lost.
Lynda loved family, friends and life which lead her in many directions. She worked as an RNA, cook/catering, Marina operator and Real Estate Agent plus writing recipes for the local newspaper.
Her outgoing personality and her love for helping people were major factors of volunteering over the years with the Lions Club, Royal Canadian Legion, Driver for the Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Snowmobile Association and Heart &Stroke Foundation.
In the book of life, the best chapters are written with friends. Lynda’s chapters included phone calls and visits with Brenda, Chris, Dianne, Judy, her weekly lunch ladies, the video calls, Bingo buddies and family. She valued each and every one of you.
Many memories have been made from the times spent at the Marinas, dinners and gatherings that happened over the years. This has created so many stories, for family and friends to tell and share.
A Celebration for Life is planned for the New Year and details will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests be made to Lynda’s favourite charity, the Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity.
