Our family lost our colourful storyteller and beloved wife, mom, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt and friend with the unexpected passing of Lynda Marie Ford on Saturday November 9, 2024 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.  She is survived by her loving husband Wayne, and by her daughters Allison (Josh) and Victoria (Max). She will be sadly missed by her siblings Sharon Wilbee, Barb Barfoot, Carol Hansen, Jim Hansen (Marie), John Hansen (Joanne) and Carl Hansen and by her nieces and nephews.

Louie was quite the character.  She was a loving and generous mom and friend to Allison and Victoria; a great story teller-with a twinkle in her eye, she often embellished stories to her own liking; the family historian along with her sister Sharon-between the two of them, nothing was forgotten; a master gardener- her pink rose bush at their home in Cresswell is still blooming to this day; an excellent cook, but she also enjoyed eating out.

Lynda loved driving her happy place was behind the steering wheel heading to a casino, a bingo game, The Barn, a good auction, maybe Havelock or out on an adventure with her sister Karen.

She loved all of her dogs although Sage, Sunshine and her walking buddy Genie each had a special place in her heart.

Her reading tastes varied from her beloved Toronto Star to her love of truelife murders (an interesting genre of material that she shared with her sister Carol).

Her Blue Mountain pottery collection is epic! As is her beautiful collection of creamers and sugar bowls-a set on each wedding anniversary from Wayne.

Lynda was predeceased by her parents John and Evelyn Hansen, her younger siblings Judy, Tom and Karen and her infant sister Dale.

Knowing Louie, she's probably now regaling other family members and friends with stories that they've missed over the years. You go Louie!

Arrangements entrusted with Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry.  Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lynda's Life will be held On Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Port Perry Legion.
