Peacefully in her 88th year; the world lost a sweet, kind, gentle, feisty and resilient soul on February 23, 2025. She is reunited with her husband Howard, who surely is thrilled to see her again even if there is a little bit of arguing here and there. 

Mother to Paul and his wife Darlene, grandmother to five and great grandmother to ten. Lorna will be missed by her siblings; Evelyn, Doreen, Sandra, Cheryl and Arthur. Her niece Denise Comer and ‘fake granddaughter/bestie’ Christina Curry. 

While Howard was the social butterfly Lorna embraced home life. Watching her stories, reading book after book, doing her word searches and the occasional walk up town to the post office and convenience stores. Both Howard and Lorna enjoyed the trailer in the summer, gardening and usually winning the Horseshoe competitions. 

Denise and Christina would like to thank the truly special team at Port Perry Place for making Lorna’s last years so gentle, kind and fun. (And for never being stingy with the Gin or the ice cream sandwiches).

Somewhere now; Lorna and Howard are very, very slowly making their way on Reach Street, on a warm summers night, in a gold GMC listening to stompin’ Tom for a nice supper together at Hagans Chicken. 

A funeral service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South on Tuesday March 4, 2025 at 3:00 PM with visitation to begin at 2:00 PM.  Reception to follow.  Burial to take place in the spring at Foster Memorial Cemetery.  Friends are invited to send condolences by visiting www.lowandlow.ca
