Lillian Edwina (Holt) Smith

Lillian E. Smith, aged 88, of Port Perry, ON passed away peacefully on April 7th at Lakeridge Health Port Perry.

She was born November 5, 1935 in Montreal to Imelda (Allain) and Edwin Holt, shortly thereafter moving to Halifax, NS where she gained her love for equestrian riding, and the maritime provinces.

Lillian met and married Donald F. Smith, a member of the Royal Canadian Navy, in 1955. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn, Donna (Grant) and Sally (Doug), and her son Jeff (Catherine), by her grandchildren Robert, Taylor, Rebecca, Edward (Ted), Emily, Jenna, Desmond and Jake and her great grandsons Myles, Clark, Edison and Liam.

Lillian enjoyed a successful career as a finance manager and later gained her real estate license in Ontario. Her passion for all things Scottish and her life-long love of her many pet buddies – both cats and dogs taught the family the meaning of pet companionship.
