C Cherished brother of Andre (Ingrid), Ria (Gerrit), Annie (Marieke), Robert (Ginnie), Ingrid (Rudi). Pre-deceased by brothers Johan and Alfonse (Martha). Loving grandfather to Allison and George.

Leo was an amazing man, who lived life fully and loved his family and friends. Leo trained as a young Man in Holland as a Welder and blacksmith.  he moved to Canada in 1975 continuing to perfect his craft.  In 1978, he worked in the Middle East on several pipeline projects.  On his return to Canada, he met the met the love of his life, Julie Buckley.  He spirited her off to meet his family and to marry in holland in 1982.  On their return to Canada, they settled in Uxbridge  where Leo established a thriving industrial metal business.  A true Master of his craft, Leo worked with a precision and dedication that is rarely found.

As a young man, leo enjoyed soccer, dirt bike riding, windsurfing and tennis.  Leo has always been a fan of Formula One!  Later, Leo became passionate about golf and enjoyed many a game with friends and business associates.     He loved to travel.  skiing, tropical holidays and family gatherings in holland and England.

He had a passion for conversation and truly enjoyed socializing with his friends and family.  Leo was always willing to stay up late to keep the good times rolling.  We will all miss his parties, his Rib and kale dinners, his generous pours, his jokes and love of ‘stirring the pot!’  It is impossible to put into words how much he has and will always mean to his family and friends.  His kindness, generosity, love and willingness to help others will be remembered by all of us.
