Keith John Walker McLennan Obituary
Keith McLennan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, Phyllis, daughter Erin and son-in-law Kevin at home. Keith was a long-time resident of Wellesley and Milverton, Ontario before moving to Douglas Crossing Retirement Home in Uxbridge, Ontario.
Known for his smile and happy go lucky demeanor, even throughout his long and courageous battle with his health, Keith remained strong and resilient, with his infectious smile that did not waiver. Keith loved Phyllis very much, for 52 years. He was also a fun-loving dad who knew how to bring laughter and a little bit of mischief to every moment.
As a long-haul truck driver, Keith traveled far and wide, developing a deep love for driving; Keith’s favourite place was behind the wheel and on the open road. Later, he and Phyllis built a successful landscaping and snow plowing business together, where his strong work ethic and dedication shone through. Even into his 80s, Keith continued to drive a dump truck, because he loved it.
Keith had many hobbies that brought him great joy, particularly his love for classic cars and attending car shows with family and friends. He could often be found, top down, in a local parade. Keith was a huge hockey fan, especially of the Maple Leafs.
Everywhere Keith went, he was sure to know someone, or they knew him. Keith was always willing to lend a hand and help others. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of kindness, laughter, and jolly demeanor will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Keith will be deeply missed by his wife, Phyllis McLennan, Daughter Erin Arsenault (nee McLennan), Son-in-law Kevin Arsenault, Son David McLennan, Daughter Annette McLennan and Grandson Matthew McLennan, as well as close friends that were like family to him.
Keith requested that his life be celebrated and remembered fondly without a formal funeral service, however his family appreciates the love and support from all who knew him. In honour of Keith’s spirit, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers or donations, you spread a little love and kindness in the world — and, of course, share a smile as big as Keith’s.
Keith and his family are deeply grateful for the many medical professionals who supported him throughout his journey, and to the wonderful staff and residents at Douglas Crossing, who welcomed him with warmth and care. Condolences and memories can be shared by contacting Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge at www.lowandlow.ca
