THOMPSON, Kathleen (Kay) Mary

January 13, 1925 – November 6, 2023

It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of Kathleen (Kay) Mary Thompson who passed away peacefully on Nov 6, 2023 in her 99th year.  She was predeceased by her Husband, Robert Thompson and daughters Barbara Hoover and Patricia Robinson and leaves behind granddaughters, Natalie, Lyndsey, Cheryl and Rhonda, as well as many great grandchildren.  

Along with being a devoted wife and mother, Kay was also a foster parent to many in need throughout her years living on McCowan Road in Markham.  Kay was also a long-time member and volunteer at the Markham Fair and served on several committees. 

In her later years she moved into a home, where, up until the last month of her life, she spent her time knitting and enjoying the company of Natalie, Chris, Charlie, and Lyndsey.  A special thanks to the staff at Sunrise of Aurora, especially Edna, whom Kay adored.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

A private family service will be held at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy ad in memory of Kay, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.  Friends are invited to send condolences, make donations or share memories at www.lowandlow.ca
