Dedicated to her family and community, Joyce actively participated in her daughters’ clubs and interests. Never a woman to sit still, she was employed for 20 years within local businesses. A vibrant, community-oriented spirit, Joyce was well known and admired for her volunteer work throughout her treasured Uxbridge. She was always at the ready to offer a ride to church, collect donations for the latest raffle, or pitch in wherever and whenever needed. Enjoying many hobbies over her 85 years, such as gardening, sewing, cooking and baking, and ceramics, Joyce was a member of numerous groups, including United Church Women (UCW), Community Care, Hospital Auxiliary, and PROBUS Club of Uxbridge. Her local community will miss her and her works.
The family will receive friends at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, PO Box 388, Uxbridge L9P 1M8 (905-852-3073) on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 12p.m. to 2p.m. A private funeral will follow the visitation.
