John Olson

Our dearest Dad and Grandpa was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Born on a farm near Estevan, Saskatchewan on February 4, 1936, John met the love of his life, Alma, in Regina and the two were married on February 10, 1957. Happily married for 68 years, John and Alma raised three beautiful children, Perry, Tim (Karen), and Laura (Jamie). John was the best Grandpa in the world to Megan (Andy), Ryan (Jane), Tyler, and Jake. During his 35-year career with TransCanada Pipelines, John and Alma relocated to Ontario where they lived in Agincourt for 54 years. John and Alma were devoted members of the Church of St. Luke in North York. John is predeceased by his parents Ture and Ruth, his sisters Doreen (Bill) and Trudy, and his brother-in-law David. John is survived by his wife Alma, sister Bernice, his children, and grandchildren. John will be forever missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Funeral service will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905-985-7331) on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12p.m. with visitation for one hour prior. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held on the upper level of the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
