John Gary Featherstone

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Featherstone, peacefully at home with his family at his side, on October 19th, 2024 in his 79th year.

Beloved husband of Linda Metherall for over 57 years. Cherished father of Blair (Elizabeth), Bryan (Jessica), and Michelle James (Colin), as well as family friend Arthur Ophelders.

Grandpa will always be lovingly remembered by Joshua (Catherine), Jesse (Andrea), Skyler, Sydney, and Alexis. Great Grandfather to Elijah and Jude Featherstone.

Survived by sisters Marianne Boyce (Keith) and Marjorie Welch.

Gary was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 721 and was a superb craftsman, building his own home and helping many others with their projects and renovations. He loved sports, golf and skating in particular, but his passion was for his 1970 Chevelle.

We will forever miss Gary’s quiet wisdom, principled spirit, and kind heart.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Low & Low Funeral Home at 23 Main Street South in Uxbridge, 905-852-3073, on Wednesday October 23rd, 2024 for a service in the chapel at 2pm. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will take place at Uxbridge Cemetery after the service, followed by a reception back at the Funeral Home.
