Joan Mary (Colby) Hope

Passed away peacefully on Thursday October 31, 2024 at the Uxbridge Hospital at the age of 89 years. Wife of the late Merle Hope. Loved and remembered by her sons John Hope and Ron Hope (Elaine). Grandma will be missed by Susie Swagerman (Derek) and Tom Hope. Beloved sister of Eleanor Dunn (late Al), twin brother John Colby (late Anne), Ross Colby (Alice) and sister-in-law Dorothy Hope. Predeceased by her son Steven Dale Hope.

Joan enjoyed her flowerbeds and on many nice days would be out working on them. She loved going to garage sales with her friend and neighbour Mabel. She always took an interest in what her sons and grandkids were doing and went to many baseball games to watch her grandkids play.

Joan was a life-time resident of Uxbridge and loved her little town. She will be missed.

Cremation has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge. A private ceremony will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers memorial donations to Trinity United Church or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
