Joan Evelyne Cole

With heavy hearts, the family of Joan Evelyne Cole gives pause to announce her passing. Always a cheerleader for those she held dear, she carried herself as a champion for justice and equality, though at her core she was simply a sweet, loving woman who wanted nothing more than to bask in the light of her family.

Born in Toronto, Ontario on May 23, 1959, and raised in Uxbridge, she  passed in Orillia, Ontario on May 28, 2022 at the age of 63.  She is survived by her children Aaron, Ben, and Casey Vandenberg; her grandchildren Bryan, Aly, Jack, Norah, Jake, Zephyrine, and Vincent; as well as her siblings Sue, Dan, Tim, and Shelley.

With our hearts we will carry love, with our thoughts we will carry memories, and with our voices we will share her stories.

A time to celebrate Joan's life will take place at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Box 698, Port Perry L9L 1A6 (905-985-7331) on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  A private family interment will take place at the Cartwright Union Cemetery.
