Irene Noseworthy Obituary
Irene Noseworthy passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday December 2nd, 2024, at the age of 83. She spent the last month of her life being exceptionally cared for by the staff at Margaret Bahen Hospice. Irene now joins her loving husband, Charles Noseworthy; her late parents, Hazel and Ernest Earle; her daughter in law, Elizabeth Noseworthy; and her sisters, Effie Earle, Jessie Hunt (late Clyde) and Loretta Farrar (late Claude) to carry on her next great adventure.
Irene grew up in Bell Island, Newfoundland and raised her family at Musselman’s Lake. Irene embodied the old adage that a stranger was just a friend that she had not yet met. Irene was full of life, caring, witty, and hard working. She was dedicated to caring for her family and providing care to her beloved husband, Charlie. She was the epitome of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Irene displayed an adventurous spirit that exhibited the goal of getting the most out of life. During her time in the Red Hat Society, Irene enjoyed participating in many activities and making new friends. Irene enjoyed spending her winters in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida where she could be near her family. For several years, Irene and Charlie travelled with the carnival throughout the United States. Her infectious personality, love of life and undeniable sense of humor created many lifelong friends who will miss her love and many stories.
Irene is survived by her sons Dean Noseworthy (Melissa) and Earl Noseworthy (Lisa) and their families. Granddaughters include Amanda Drew (Dalton), Zoe Noseworthy, Dakota Miles and Kim Callihan (Joshua), who all affectionately called her Nan and Nanny. Great grandchildren include Reed Drew, Evan Drew, Carver Noseworthy, Asher Noseworthy, Hunter Miles and Marley Callihan. Irene also leaves behind her beloved sister Ruby Jewer (late Bud) and her brother Ernie Earle (Jackie). Irene was also dearly loved by remaining nieces, nephews, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Irene’s niece, Carol Farrar, for her loving care of Irene throughout her illness. The family was also deeply touched by the kind care given by Margaret Bahen Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Memory of Irene Noseworthy.
Visitation will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S. in Uxbridge on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Service will take place immediately following. At a later date, Irene will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery.
