Irene (Stonehouse) Canavan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother on August 28, 2025 at the age of 85 years.  Irene was the cherished wife of the late James William Canavan and mother of the late James Canavan, Janice Genier (Michel), Jodi Colby (Brad) and Jason Canavan (Allanna).  She was a devoted Grandma of 9 Grandchildren and “GG” to 3 Great Grandchildren.  Dear Sister to the late Dave (Peggy), the late Myrna (Larry), and dear Sister-in-law to the late Teresa (Ralph), Thomas (Peggy), and Robert.

A Funeral Service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 12:30 pm with visitation to commence at 11:00am.  Reception to follow.  Interment Greenbank Cemetery.
