Helen Walker Obituary

Passed away peacefully, after a brief illness at Uxbridge Hospital at the age of 93. Adele was born and raised in Toronto, the daughter of Harold and Phyllis Darlington. She was a graduate of John Wanless Public School and Lawrence Park Collegiate. She then attended the University of Toronto to train as a dental nurse. On September 27, 1952 she married Donald Ian Forbes Walker and was a full time mother to their three sons – Douglas, David and Derek - in addition to actively caring for her parents and grandchildren. She was an avid crossword puzzler and reader; kind, generous and giving to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Adele was predeceased by her husband Donald and son Douglas. She is survived by sons David (Lisa) and Derek (Leslie), daughter-in-law Teresa, sister Norein, niece Deanne (Ray) as well as her grandchildren Elizabeth, Christina (Joe), Catherine (Chaitanya), Cheryl (Mark), William, Alexandra, Liam and step grandchildren Jennifer and Robert as well as many great-grandchildren.

Many thanks to the staff at Douglas Crossing Retirement Community, and the staff at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
