Surrounded by his loved ones, Grzegorz (Greg) Benedykt Rembosz passed away on Saturday, May 16 at 7:47 pm. Survived by his loving wife Heather (nee Darnley), mother Barbara (nee Michta), brother Robert (Edyta), Robert's daughters Stefania, Selina (Nicholas, and their son Landon), his sons Mike (Kailee), Dave (Alexa), and Jeff (Kira), and wonderful grandchildren Addison, Laiken, and Lincoln. As well as, fur babies Oliver and Bandit.
Greg was born in Kielce, Poland on March 11, 1959 and immigrated to Canada in 1975 where he honed his skills, and was quickly recruited by Xerox as a service technician where began his exemplary and highly acclaimed 43 year career. He met his wonderful wife Heather in 1982; the two were married November 9th 1985. Their eldest son Michael was born in 1988, followed by the delightful surprise of twins, David & Jeffrey, in 1989.
As a devoted son, Greg ensured he spent many lunch hours having a homemade meal at his mother's home and weekends were spent as family, visiting and helping his mother and in-laws.
Greg enjoyed his pool league, euchre nights with a wonderful group of friends, and planning his next project, whether that be raising the roof on the cottage they purchased in 2009, adding another building to the property or tending to his vegetable garden.
He was a passionate woodworker, filling the home and eventually, the cottage with beautiful hand crafted furniture. He loved his wife, his white wine, and a beautiful sunset on the Madawaska River, where family and friends will look forward to sharing toasts to Greg in the years to come.
A special thank you to Dr. Kopolovic, Dr. Zehra, and the many nurses who supported his care over the last four weeks.
Visitation will be at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 6:00 -8:00 PM and Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Funeral Service to commence at 12:00 PM with a reception to follow immediately.
