Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Douglas Crossing Retirement Home in Uxbridge on Tuesday March 11, 2025 at the age of 88 years. Cherished wife of 68 years to the late Floyd Evans. Loved and remembered by her children Ronald (Ruth), Robert (Mary), Cathy Mouflier (Richard), Garry (Debbie) and Murray. Beloved grandma of Adam (Kendra), Aaron (Esther), Teena (Tyler), Scott (Christina), Evan, Jeffrey, Melanie (Reuben), Nicholas (Ashley), Jaired, Karissa and Danielle and great grandma of Norah, Silas, Watson, Bethany, Cole, Cameron, Austin, Chase and Evelyn.
Predeceased by parents Wilfred and Mildred Simpson, Siblings; John, and Lois Elford. Survived by her sister Marie Wilson.
Grace was born on a farm southeast of Uxbridge, the youngest in a family of 4 children. She attended Pine Grove School before moving to Uxbridge and attending school there. After completing high school, she worked in the office at Comco Stamping until she left that position to join Floyd full time working on their farm – Evanhill Farms. She was active working with Floyd in the Church and community. When they retired, Mom took much pleasure in attending to her vegetable and flower gardens.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Friday March 21, 2025 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. A private funeral service will be celebrated by the family. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Food Grains Bank would be appreciated by the family.
