Gordon Harrison

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Harrison on August 12, 2021 at the grand age of 95. 

Gordon will be deeply missed by his wife Mary who together just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.  Brian (Marilyn), June (Roger) and Blair (Irene) were very lucky to call Gordon their dad.  Gordon was a special grandpa to Melissa (Cam), Lisa (Mike), Lauren (Stephen), and Brooke (David) and a great grandpa to Sloane, Ella and Myles.  Predeceased by siblings Lloyd, Berniece, Verna and sister-in-law Doreen. Survived by brother-in-law Jack.

Gordon was proud of his farming roots which was followed by an enriching volunteer career with Community Care that lasted into his 92nd year. Gordon was always ready for a game of euchre and loved to dance and travel. For years, special memories were made hosting family and friends at the cottage.

Thank you, Dr Wilson, for all you have done and thank you Oak Ridges Hospice for the loving care you provided these past two months.

If you wish, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry or St Andrew’s-Chalmers Presbyterian Church in Uxbridge.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Box 388, Uxbridge (905-852-3073).  The family will be holding a private service. 

Following the Government Recommendations, all attendees must wear a mask or face covering, and maintain social distancing while at the funeral home; attendance within the facility will be monitored throughout the visitation times.
