Gisela Helga (Eichholz) Kosubek

Entered into rest peacefully at home with family by her side on Saturday May 3, 2025  at the age of 88 years.  Wife of the late Jurgen Kosubek (d. 2019).  Loving mother of Martin and his wife Jennifer.  Gisela will also be remembered by her three surviving sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews in Germany and her step-grandson, Alex.

Gisela is now reunited with her late brother, Jurgen Eichholz, and her parents Walter and Charlotte.  Gisela and husband Jurgen immigrated to Canada in 1960 and eventually settled in Uxbridge.  Gisela worked for Scotia Bank for over 20 years.

Gisela enjoyed life at the cottage, boating with her family, as well as having taken in many cats and dogs that seemed to always find a way to their home.

Gisela had a fondness for all flowers, all animals, feeding birds, and everyone who has ever met her agrees that she could never say no to ice cream.

A Celebration of Gisela’s Life will be held at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Thursday May 15, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the New Animal Shelter Uxbridge-Scugog would be appreciated by her family.  Friends are invited to send condolences, arrange flowers or make donations by visiting www.lowandlow.ca.
