Garry Taylor

Passed away peacefully at Port Perry Hospital on May 5, 2024 at the age of 82 years.  Beloved husband of 58 years to Donna (nee Jamieson). Dad will be loved and remembered by his children, Scott (Anita), Jake and Pamela (Terry).  Cherished grandpa of Mae, Travis, Madeleine, brother to Glenda and son to Gordon and Thelma Taylor (deceased).

Garry had a love for life and spent all of his years in his home town of Claremont, Ontario.  He enjoyed getting out in the boat, fishing, horseback riding, country music, watching hockey and spending time with his family.

Garry started his career at GM in Oshawa, he then had a Marina (Gord’s Marina) with his father selling outboard boats and skidoos until he started his career at Hydro where he eventually retired.  

A funeral service will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Thursday May 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM with visitation to commence at 11:00 AM.  Reception to follow.  Interment will take place at Claremont Union Cemetery for those that wish to attend after the service and reception.
