September 5, 1942 - July 5, 2024

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday July 5, 2024 at the age of 81 years.  She is loved and missed by her four children, James May (Hye-Yeon), Leslie May, David May (Winnie), and Heather May (John).  Grandmother to 9 grandchildren: Hayden, Avery, Luke, Ava, Jayden, Talia, Gage, Cole, and Wade.

She was a dedicated mom, an advocate for nature and preservation, and a lover of Muskoka. In her later years, she spent much of her time hiking and traveling with the Bruce Trail hiking club. Her passion for painting and artwork was always a big part of her life. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Skeleton Lake. In her younger years, she spent most of her time with her grandfather, James Leslie Stewart, who will forever be in her heart.

A Celebration of Florence’s life, a joyous occasion to remember her with love, will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM with a time of fellowship and refreshment to follow.
