Earl Durward Obituary

Passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health, Port Perry Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his wife Joan Durward; married for 54 years; daughter Lorna Durward-Story (John), son Leslie Durward (Melissa); grandchildren Stephany, Devon (Carrie), Laney (Kenny), Callie and by his great granddaughter Faye. 


Fondly remembered by his siblings Ruby, Bob (Joanne),  Murray (Grace), Charlie (Maisie), sister-in-law Jane Durward and brothers-in-law  John Skelton and Wayne Bailey.  Predeceased by his parents James and Marion Durward and siblings Larry and his wife Susan ,Isabel Skelton, Lloyd and his wife Donna, Eileen and her husband Walter, Gord Durward, Patricia Bailey and Keith Tindall. Survived by his many nieces and nephews.  


Earl was a proud member of the commercial horse association for many years.  He would show at all the local fairs in the area  with his hitch. You could always hear him coming by the thunder of the feet roaring in the ring . Earl held the lines as he drove the hitch though the ring .He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and his kind heart.   A Celebration of Earl’s Life will take place at “The Farm” on Saturday August 17, 2024 at1:00 PM.
