Douglas James Youmans

Passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 84. Doug was the loved husband of Doris, nee Breckon for 54 years. He was a wonderful father to Kristine (Tony) Toste and Mike (Corrie) Youmans and an amazing grandfather to Andrew, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Ryan, and Emily. He was predeceased by his parents George Youmans and Ana Youmans Smith and his siblings Millicent, Barry, and Bryan.

Doug built the family cottage at Drag Lake, Haliburton in the 1960’s and our house in Uxbridge in 1970. He had a 41 year career with the Scarborough Board of Education. During his retirement he enjoyed many trips to Florida, woodworking, and restoring a 1951 Chevy. He was one of a kind.
