Passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday September 27, 2024 at the age of 56 years. Loved and missed by his wife; Kim Holmes and his children Rochelle Ryan (Marvin), Dale Holmes (Ben), Nikki Holmes (Trevor), and Xavier Jackson (Jalynn). Predeceased by parents Charles & Carol Jackson and siblings Chris & Tim Jackson. Survived by his sister Anna Jackson (Mike).
Doug had a gift of creativity that allowed him to express himself in drawing, woodworking, and music. His passion for music began at a young age, and even led him into several bands; Out Of The Blue, Spills Manor, and County 503 to name a few.
Doug cherished spending time with his wife and kids, it was these moments that made him feel alive. He will always be remembered for his love of chocolates and desserts, his wild imagination, and his skilled hands.
Doug will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Cremation has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge. A Celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Sunday November 10, 2024 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum and Community Center, 14732 Woodbine Ave, Stouffville. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
