Dorothy Mae Worsley

WORSLEY, Dorothy Mae (nee Kennedy) - Peacefully entered into rest at Ajax Pickering Hospital on June 12th, 2025.  Dorothy at the age of 84 was the beloved wife of Jim Worsley for almost 65 years.  Much loved Mother to Darryl (Michelle) Worsley and Lisa (Michel) Worsley-Simard.  Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters, Chantal, Sophia and Claire. Predeceased by her parents Delamere Kennedy and Mary Kennedy (nee Corneil). Loving sister to Clarence (Elsie) Kennedy and the late William (Marlene) Kennedy and sister-in-law to Heather and Irwin Brown and the late Ken (Donna) Worsley.  

Dorothy will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in both Markham and Port Perry.

Dorothy grew up on her family's farm near Omemee, attended high school in Lindsay and graduated from Peterborough Teachers College.  She was a primary grade teacher before staying home to raise her family.  Dorothy especially loved time at the cottage, gardening and enjoying the outdoors with family. 

Visitation will take place at Low and Low Limited, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:00am - 11:00.  A Service to Celebrate Dorothy's life will be held in the chapel at 11:00am. Reception to follow.

Dorothy's family would like to thank the staff at Port Perry Place for their support over the last few years, the Emergency staff at Port Perry Hospital and Dr. Landry and the nursing staff of the ICU at Ajax Pickering Hospital.
