Dawn Ireland

It is with broken hearts but the happiest of memories that we announce the passing of Dawn Ireland on January 9, 2022.  Mom/Gram passed peacefully at Oak Ridges Hospice surrounded by the love of her family and Sinatra music.  Loving wife of the late Hilton Ireland.  Matriarch, family rock and best Mom in town to Deb (Jim), Bob (Tammy), Jeff (Wendy) and Dave (Leanne).  Much loved Gram to the grandchildren who could never do wrong:  Jenna (Jonathan), Crystal, Jane, Bradley and Michael.  Sadly missed by extended family, dear friends, wonderful neighbours and all “the kids” who she fed and enjoyed watching grow up over the years.

Dawn’s Diner famously known for tea biscuits, bacon bunnies, deviled eggs, patty shells, apple pie, shortbread, Jello with plastic animals and decorations for every occasion is permanently closed but lives on in the hearts of anyone who ever sat at Mom’s table.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.  Donations in Mom’s memory will be gratefully received by Oak Ridges Hospice or the animal rescue organization of your choice.  Arrangements entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry (905-985-7331).
